Hello my crafty friends,
It’s been a long time since I’ve been on. I was getting my cards ready for my May card class today. I managed to get half of my class kits done today. I don’t know who give credit to for this card, as it was a brief reel on facebook and I didn’t even get to watch the whole reel. So I had to figure out all the measurements myself, so here is what I came up with.
Card base cut at 5 1/2x 4 1/4
With the front of your card on your paper trimmer, place the edge at the 3 3/4 and cut to the 2 1/2 mark. Flip your card to the other end, line up your card to the 3 3/4 line and cut up to the 5/8 line.
Turn your card so the long side is near the trimmer track. Place your card at the 5/8 line and score to the cut line. Slide the card to the 2 1/2 mark and score to the cut line.
Put your card base aside.
Cut a 2 pieces of designer paper 5 3/8 x 3/4, another one at 2 7/16 x 3 1/4.
Cut white card stock at 2 7/16 x 3 1/4 and 5 3/8 x 4 1/8.
Stamp and cut out elements to place on your card.
You will also need some adhesive, dimenionals, ink and markers to color your stamped image a stamp block to mount your stamps on. On this card I used the Latte Love stamp set and dies. But you can use any stamp set you would like.
Now let’s have some fun and put this card together. Fold your card base in half. Next you are going to make the gift card pocket. Open the card and fold all the score lines together. Adhere the two pieces together. Close the card and adhere one of the long pieces to the edge then adhere the smaller rectangle to the front of the gift card holder. Open the card and place the other long strip to the edge of the inside front edge. On the small piece of white card stock stamp a sentiment or anything else you’d like. On the large piece of white card stock stamp your main sentiment near the top right side as in picture. Add any other stamping you want to your card. If you want you can also stamp your envelope.
Thank you to who ever posted the reel on facebook. I hope you enjoy making this card. I will be making more for different occasions. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of your day.
