Latte Love

 Hello my crafty friends,

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on. I was getting my cards ready for my May card class today. I managed to get half of my class kits done today. I don’t know who give credit to for this card, as it was a brief  reel on facebook and I didn’t even get to watch the whole reel. So I had to figure out all the measurements myself, so here is what I came up with.

Card base cut at 5 1/2x 4 1/4
With the front of your card on your paper trimmer, place the edge at the 3 3/4 and cut to the 2 1/2 mark. Flip your card to the other end, line up your card to the 3 3/4 line and cut up to the 5/8 line.
Turn your card so the long side is near the trimmer track. Place your card at the 5/8 line and score to the cut line. Slide the card to the 2 1/2 mark and score to the cut line.
Put your card base aside.

Cut a 2 pieces of designer paper 5 3/8 x 3/4, another one at 2 7/16 x 3 1/4.
Cut white card stock at 2 7/16 x 3 1/4 and 5 3/8 x 4 1/8.
Stamp and cut out elements to place on your card.

You will also need some adhesive, dimenionals, ink and markers to color your stamped image a stamp block to mount your stamps on. On this card I used the Latte Love stamp set and dies. But you can use any stamp set you would like.

Now let’s have some fun and put this card together. Fold your card base in half. Next you are going to make the gift card pocket. Open the card and fold all the score lines together. Adhere the two pieces together. Close the card and adhere one of the long pieces to the edge then adhere the smaller rectangle to the front of the gift card holder. Open the card and place the other long strip to the edge of the inside front edge. On the small piece of white card stock stamp a sentiment or anything else you’d like. On the large piece of white card stock stamp your main sentiment near the top right side as in picture. Add any other stamping you want to your card. If you want you can also stamp your envelope.

Thank you to who ever posted the reel on facebook. I hope you enjoy making this card. I will be making more for different occasions. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of your day.

Hello my friends, it’s been way too long. I’m so sorry for that. But I’m back now. So today I was making some special valentines for some very special people. I attend an exercise class at our local senior center twice a week. These ladies and gentlemen are awesome. I’m only 66 almost 67 and most of them run circles around me. We have one young lady in our group who just turned 101. She still drives and is very alert. Anyway these are the little cards I made for our Wednesday’s Valentines Day party. The first picture is the process of stamping on all of the images using my stamp positioner. I sort of cheated and used my Cricut to cut out the hearts. Saves my arm by cutting out several at a time unlike me having to use a die and die cutting machine.

The next picture are the finished cards. I made about 54 of these little cards. I am also still making some extra special ones for close friends and family. The  picture at the bottom are the ones for friends and family. I’m still working on making some more of those.

I don’t usually make valentine cards but this year I feel extra blessed by having so many wonderful people in my life. The cards above, I made from designer series paper I had in my stash from last year that I never used.

It’s still Sale-A-Bration time. You have until the end of February to earn some more free items with a minimum order of $50.00. Stampin’ Up just added some new free items to the free products you can earn. Just go to…

Hello my friends, sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Life keeps getting the best of me, plus our weather is getting warmer. We have been spending a little more time outside. We got our plants planted in the greenhouse and some of the rainy winter weeds pulled. I have been working on some cards, I just haven’t had a chance to photograph them and get them posted. I finished my paper pumpkin cards for this month. I have been trying to get my craft stuff in order again. The new catalog is out and you can start ordering on May 4th. I haven’t ordered anything except some of the new colors. Stanmpin’ Up has retired a lot of their colors. They have brought back 7 old colors and added 4 new colors and 5 new in colors. When a new catalog comes out they get rid of lots of old inventory, some at reduced costs. So go check out my page and see if you find any deals. Card class tomorrow!

Have a great weekend,

Irresistible Blooms

Hello, my crafty friends, Life has been a little weird lately. I have had some dental things I have been with, now I am having to deal with some health issues. But anyway, I am here today.

I was going to focus on the free stamp set "thanks a bunch", but sale-a-bration is over and this stamp set is no longer available. But I still wanted to share these cards with you just in case you were able to get it before it was over.

Stampin' Up is doing a new thing. They are called "exclusives". these are items that can only be seen online. The bundle I am featuring today is called "Irresistible Blooms". This set has some extra dies besides just the ones that cut out the stamped images. As you can see from the pictures above, the circle cut out is one of those dies. So, let's get started with today's card. I used Flirty Flamingo card stock for my card base today. It's cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. Then a flirty flamingo piece of card stock was cut at 5 1/4x4. Take the circle die from the bundle and place it on the upper part of the flirty flamingo paper and die cut it using the mini stampin' cut machine. Next you will use the background stamp and some flirty flamingo ink and stamp round the circle and the bottom. Cut a piece DSP at 4x4. Adhere that to the upper front of your card base. Using dimenionals adhere the piece of card stock you just cut the circle on, to the front of the card over the DSP to form a window. Now on another piece of basic white card stock we are going to do some heat embossing. With versa mark ink we are going to stamp one large flower, one small flower and three of the double leaves. Then you are going to put some embossing powder on all of the versa marked images. Now with your heat tool you will carefully heat and melt the embossed images until they are smooth and shiny. Now comes the fun, using your blending brushes you are going to apply ink to your embossed flowers and leaves. Start in the middle of your flowers and apply your ink, darker in the middle. On the leaves start at the bottom and work your way up. With a tissue gently wipe off the top of the images to get the extra ink off. Now you will die cut those pieces out and adhere, using dimenionals and glue, to your card front as shone in the above picture. I used a banner tag from the "stylish shapes" dies to stamp my sentiment on, I used a sentiment from the bundle. Adhere that to the lower right corner of your card front. Next you are going to place your embellishments on. I used the "loose frosted dots" that coordinate with this bundle. On the inside of your card cut a piece of basic white card stock at 4x4 1/2 and adhere that to the inside of your card. If you want to stamp some flowers or another sentiment on it, do it before you adhere it to the inside. You may also stamp on your envelope to match it to your beautiful card.

Paying in the Rain

Hello friends, I have another easy card using the “playing in the rain” bundle. I am having a great time with this stamp set and the designer series paper. This set is from the new sale-a-bration catalog. Let’s get started…

The card base, old olive, cut at 4 1/4x11 and scored at 5 1/2. Raindrop DSP cut at 5 1/4x4. Adhere that to the front of your card base. Cut a 1 1/2 x 4” piece of DSP with the grassy flowers and then using the basic borders die to cut the ground adhere that to the bottom of the card front. On a piece of scrap basic white stamp the bunny, the umbrella using memento black ink. Then using balmy blue ink stamp the clouds. I colored the bunny and umbrella using my stampin blends. Using the mini die cut machine, I die cut all of  the pieces out using the coordinating dies from the bundle. Then you will die cut a circle from the basic shapes die set and stamp your sentiment in the middle of the circle. Using dimenionals pop up the bunny and the clouds. Next pop up the circle and adhere it to the front of your card. Now you will cut another piece of basic white card stock at 4x4 1/4 for the inside of your card. Adhere that using stampin’ seal. You can stamp another sentiment inside. I also stamped my envelope.

Playing in the Rain

Hello my crafty friends,

Wow, a new month already and a new stamp bundle. This month we are going to be using the “Playing in the Rain” bundle. It is such a cute and fun bundle to play with. Just like last month I will be focusing on one bundle or stamp set. This one has paper that matches and two of the 12x12 sheets have images you can cut out with the dies that come in the bundle. I did not use those with this card, I colored it myself. I love to color the images with the Stampin’ blends. They are the best alcohol markers I have ever used.

So lets get started…

Granny apple green card stock 11x8 1/2, cut to 11x4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2. DSP cut to 4x5 1/4. Linen twine, cut enough to wrap around twice and tie a small bow. Wrap that around the bottom of the card, tie your bow and adhere to the front of your card. Next we are gong to do some stamping. On a piece of basic white card stock and memento black ink, stamp the cute turtle and the flowers. Then we are going to color the images using mango melody and granny apple green stampin’ blends, dark and light. Once you have finished coloring, cut them out using the mini cut and emboss machine. Now we are going to take the “Rays of light” background stamp and using the stamparatus and another larger piece of basic white card stock. We are are going to stamp the image using mango melody a couple of times to get a good image. Next cut a circle from the rays of light piece, using the 3” basic shapes die. Now stamp your sentiment on the circle. We are ready to assemble.

Place some dimenionals on the back of the circle and adhere it to one side of the card front. Using some glue and more dimenionals adhere the turtle and flowers to the bottom of the circle. Cut a piece of basic white card stock for the inside of your. If you would like you can stamp the flowers on the bottom, adhere to the inside of your card. Such an easy but cute card.

Products I used to make this card…

Playing in the rain bundle #160551

rays of light background stamp #158925

Granny apple green card stock #146990

Basic white card stock #159278
