One of the cards score at 4 1/4, the other one score at 2 1/8 on one end and 2 1/8 on the other end, for the gate fold card. Find some DSP to match the fresh freesia and cut to 5 1/4 x 2, cut two for both sides of the front of the gate fold card. Cut another piece of fresh freesia at 2 1/4 x 3 5/8 for matting. Cut some basic white to 3 1/2 x 2 1/16. Stamp and color the birthday owl. Stamp your sentiment at the bottom. Adhere the white to the fresh freesia matting. Adhere this piece to the middle of the left panel. Then cut a piece of white at 4 x 5 ad adhere to the inside of card. Now place your jewels on the front of your card.

For the other card use the other half of the card stock and score at 4 1/4. Cut another piece of fresh freesia  to 4 x 5 1/4. With the pretty flowers embossing folder place the paper into the folder and run it through the stampin’ emboss machine, fold side first. Adhere that piece to the front of your card. On a piece of white scrap card stock stamp the flying owl and the swag of flowers from the framed florets and color them. Hand cut the owl and use the die for the swag. Cut out a white frame from the “framed florets” bundle. With liquid glue adhere the frame to the front of your card. Using dimensionals, adhere the owl and the swag to the front of the card. Stamp your sentiment on a piece of basic white, 3 1/4 x 1/2, I got my “happy birthday” from the happiness abounds stamp set. But you can use what ever you have. I used more dimensionals on the back of my sentiment and adhere that to your card. Then cut a white card stock to 4 x 5 for the inside.

Hello my friends, I’m so glad to be back. I was sort of burned out after making so many Christmas cards. As you can see from the last post, it’s Sale-A-Bration time. The stamp set I’m featuring this month is a free set you can earn with a $50.00 order from any of the catalogs. This is a very cute stamp set, one of many in the Sal-A-Bration free catalog. The free catalog is good from January 5th to February 28th. The new mini catalog is good from January 5th to April 2023. Here we go with our cards for today.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year my friends,

I hope everyone had a great holiday with lots of family and friends. I was a little worn out by the end of December. I also got Covid a couple of days before Christmas so I was unable to join my family for all the festivities. But thats okay they all live in town so we get to see each other frequently. But by the time all the cards were made and the parties were over, I was so tired. I actually haven’t stamped anything since before Christmas. I switched my focus to finishing a sweater I had been working on. Covid didn’t hit me that hard this time, it was just the quarantine time. Anyway…

Today is January 5th. The first day of Sale-a-Bration. Hopefully those of you who wanted a catalog received one. If you place a $50.00 order you can choose some really cute free stuff. Who doesn’t like free, right? If you have a chance one of the things I like the best from the free catalog is the “dainty flowers” 12 x12 paper pack. I will be making a card with some of that paper next week. I have also been getting all my calendars and journals set up for the new year. I have decided that instead of doing a different stamp set a week, I would be focusing on a stamp set a month with different ideas for them.

If you would like a catalog you can email me at  rgonza1581@aol.com and put in the subject area Catalog or you can visit my website at   ruthgonzales.stampinup.net.  I would love for you to visit and see the wonderful produces for yourself. Also this months host code is…FYNPJSJB.  So if you do order and it’s under $150.00 please use the code.

thanks for stopping by. Next week I will be ready to get back into the swing of things. Happy weekend to all and I’ll see you next week.
